Art and photography have been both life-saving and life-changing for me since a young age. Through creative expression, I've discovered the freedom to see the world from many different perspectives. I find deep joy in creating works that inspire, evoke emotion, and bring a sense of calm and wonder to those who experience them.
Much of my inspiration comes from the northern forests of Minnesota. Having hiked the entire Superior Hiking Trail—both directions—and spent countless days paddling the Boundary Waters, these wild spaces continually renew my spirit and spark my creativity. From them, I draw the vision and materials for my mixed-media, three-dimensional abstract art.
When I'm grounded in the forest, I find beauty in all that Mother Nature offers—her colors, textures, shapes, and patterns. My work seeks to highlight these natural details, revealing the complexity and hidden layers within the world around us.
I hope my art and photography encourage others to explore the woods, to paddle across a pristine lake, and to reconnect with nature. As an avid hiker and paddler, I'm passionate about preserving the wild places that inspire me. I advocate for clean water, "leave no trace" ethics, and protecting the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. My love for nature drives my belief that preservation is essential—not only for our planet's future, but for all generations to come.
